Disk Storage Space:
Disk storage space refers to the amount of server disk storage specifically allocated to your account. This space is used to store your HTML files, graphics, audio clips, POP mail messages, pdfs, and other files that make up your web site. Each of our plans includes a specified allotment of disk storage space, but additional space can be purchased for any account in 10MB blocks at a cost of $10 per month, plus a one time $10.00 fee. Data Transfer (monthly bandwidth):
In general, any outward-bound traffic from a web site, with the exception of e-mail, is considered to be data transfer. For example, each time a web page, image, midi file, QuickTime video, etc. is loaded, data transfer is generated. Each of our plans includes a generous amount of free data transfer which should be more than enough for most sites. In fact, most of our customers operate within their free data transfer allowance. Additional data transfer beyond the threshold will incur a small charge.

WEB SERVICES:
The website design process can become very complicated. Artists Asylum can offer a complete solution from start to finish for a website solution including an update and monitoring plan or we can offer intervention in only certain parts of a website solution. Our services can be completely customized to meet the specific needs of our customers.

Free Initial Consultation – We provide a completely free initial consultation where we help our customer determine what their needs are and how best to implement those needs. We can also provide assistance in choosing a domain name. After this point, Artists Asylum will present a proposal of how we can meet those needs. Before any work is done, it is imperative that the customer understands the solution we are proposing and what impact that will have on their business.

Complete Website Design – Artists Asylum will fully create the website and help our clients pull together the information needed to put together an effective website. We can create a very static page just including text and graphics or we can create an interactive page using HTML, JAVA, XML, SQL, ASP, CGI Scripting, PERL, FLASH, as well as many other techniques.

Email – We also provide a complete Email solution for our customer whether that is a dedicated exchange server or just numerous accounts for their employees.

Website Hosting – We can provide a number of ways for the customer to actually get our customers’ website onto the Internet. We can host a website on one of our shared servers, we can provide a dedicated server, a clustered server, a co-located server, or even host the website at your location. Our pricing plans are very flexible and we adapt each proposal to meet the specific needs of our customers.

WEB TRAFFIC ANALYSIS:
When surfing a website, a web server logs every click a user names as well as how much time was spent per web page. This information can be analyzed to provide extremely valuable information to our clients. We provide full analysis and interpretation of that analysis to aid in helping to adapt our customers’ websites.

Unique Visitors – Artists Asylum can tell how many different people are surfing our customers’ websites within a certain time period. A high level of activity may make it seem that a website is well received.  However, if that activity is only among a select few users, it is possible that the impact of the website is not as popular as could be thought by just examining total activity.

Visits – Artists Asylum monitors how many times each person who has visited the website comes back to the website and how much time they spend at each page on average and how much time is spent at the website on average. We can also tell how many pages the average user views.
 
Page Views – Artists Asylum monitors the popularity of each page on the website through page views, or how many times that page was looked at. A very popular page with very little content could signal to our customer that more time should be invested in that page because that is what most people are looking at. On the flip side, a page that is very well developed and very expensive to maintain that receives very little page views might need to be scaled back or possibly moved to a different section of the website.

Referrals – Artists Asylum can determine where the website users are coming from. We can determine if they being referred by search engines and what keywords they are using or if they are just typing in your domain name, as well as which domain name is most popular. We can also determine which sites link to yours to provide you with users.

Other statistical analysis we perform include the following: path analysis (what path users take to navigate the website), most popular pages, least popular pages, which pages are used as entry pages, and which pages are used as exit pages (where the user starts and leaves the website).
